A GetBusiness listing puts your business on category and city pages that customers browse when they need a service — for example education in Jaipur or healthcare in Mumbai. This guide walks through every step, so your listing is complete and ready to bring enquiries.

Before you start
Have these ready:
- Your business name exactly as on your signboard or registration.
- Full address with PIN code.
- Main phone number and WhatsApp number, if different.
- Email address and website (if you have one).
- Opening hours.
- 3–10 good photos: logo, storefront, inside, team, products or work.
- Your GSTIN, if you are registered.
Step 1: Choose a plan
Click Add Listing at the top of any page. You'll see the plans:
| Plan | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | Trying GetBusiness with one listing |
| Professional | ₹99 a year | One business wanting more categories, links in the description and a Verified badge |
| Premium | ₹499 one-time | Up to five listings, more categories, shop products and a Featured spot |
Plan details can change; the pricing page always shows the current version. You can upgrade later from your dashboard.
Step 2: Add your business details
- Business name: your real name only. Don't add city names or keywords — it looks spammy and can get the listing rejected.
- Categories: choose the most specific ones that fit. A dental clinic should pick dental services, not just healthcare. The number of categories depends on your plan.
- Address and map: enter the full address and drag the map pin to your exact entrance. Customers use it for directions.
- Contact details: phone, WhatsApp, email and website.
- Hours: set each day separately and mark days you are closed.
Step 3: Write a description that sells
Aim for 150–300 words in plain language:
- What you do in the first sentence: "We are a family-run bakery in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, making eggless cakes and fresh bread daily."
- Who you serve and where.
- Your main services or products, with starting prices if you can share them.
- Why choose you: years in business, certifications, guarantees, awards.
- How to contact or book.

Step 4: Add amenities, features and details
GetBusiness lets you add amenities and features (parking, wheelchair access, Wi-Fi, home delivery) and industry details such as cuisine, rooms, fees or timings. These help customers filter and compare, so fill in everything that applies.
Step 5: Upload photos
Listings with real photos get more attention. Add your logo, a clear storefront photo, the inside of your premises, your team and examples of your work or products. Use bright, sharp images and avoid stock photos. More tips in the importance of high-quality images.
Step 6: Add your GSTIN
If you are GST-registered, enter your 15-digit GSTIN. When it is valid, your listing shows a GST Verified badge. You can check a GSTIN first with our free GST number search.
Step 7: Submit and wait for review
Listings are reviewed before they go live, to keep spam and duplicates off the directory. Make sure your details are genuine and complete to avoid delays.
After your listing goes live
- Share the link on WhatsApp, Instagram, your email signature and visiting cards. Our free QR code generator can turn it into a QR code for your counter.
- Ask customers for reviews.
- Keep it updated: hours, phone numbers, services and photos.
- Match your other listings: use the same details on Google Business Profile and other directories.
Common mistakes
- Choosing broad categories only.
- Leaving the description empty or copying your website text word for word.
- Using blurry or stock photos.
- Creating a second listing for the same branch instead of editing the first.
