Free business listing sites are still one of the cheapest ways for an Indian business to be found online. Every accurate listing is another place where customers — and search engines, maps apps and AI assistants — can confirm who you are, where you are and what you do.
This list replaces our older "Top 100" table. That version used estimated domain-authority numbers and included sites that have since closed. This one is grouped by purpose, so you can pick the sites that fit your business instead of submitting to all 100. How to use this list
- Do the first group in full. Maps and search listings drive most calls and direction requests.
- Pick 5–10 directories that match your customers. A B2B manufacturer belongs on IndiaMART and TradeIndia; a salon belongs on Justdial, magicpin and Google.
- Copy one master profile. Write your name, address, phone, website, hours, categories and a 150-word description once, then paste the same details everywhere.
- Keep a sheet of logins and listing URLs so you can update every profile when your phone number, address or hours change.

Why some popular names are missing
We removed sites from the old list whose domains no longer exist (for example DMOZ, Fyple India, AddBizIndia and AdvertiseEra), sites that now sell something unrelated, and one domain that now hosts gambling ads. Directories change often, so check a site still works before you register.
What makes a listing worth the effort
Not every free listing helps. A good one:
- Shows up when people search. Search the site's name plus your category and city; if its pages appear on Google, the listing can bring visitors.
- Lets you show full details — address, phone, website, hours, photos and services.
- Is actively moderated. Directories full of spam and duplicate listings lose their search visibility, and your listing with them.
- Lets you update or remove your listing when details change.
Do not buy "1,000 directory submissions" packages. Mass submissions to low-quality sites create duplicate and outdated listings that are hard to clean up later, and they do not help rankings.
Keep your details consistent
Search engines compare your business details across sites. Use the same:
- Business name — exactly as on your signboard, GST registration and Google profile.
- Address — the same format everywhere, including the PIN code.
- Phone number — one main number, with the same country code style.
- Website and hours.
